toiling, searing, a tear
in a knit fabric
then gone, never there.
i saw it, i did
a pendulum, a labrys
swung through it, taut,
i didnt care.
i held the axe,
i did the deed.
i saw it bleed,
i took it back.
writhing, bright, pink,
mended knit fabric
tightly woven darner
over a subtle scar
toiling, searing, tear
in a handsewn darner
still there, threadbare.
i saw it, i did
a blade, a grave
with the name of love
carved deep in the stone.
