Slick Black and White

slick black and white
deep lazuli liquid sparkling and slight,
with precision you swerve and turn
in the crashing waves, squeaking
churning,
to know you! to love you,
it would be an honor
your language, fill my ears
chirping trilling screeching
slick black and white
grey saddle, reverse panda
big, strong pectoral fins,
like a candid paparazzi pic
twinkling droplets fluttering by
as you twist! as you swivel!
in the deep lazuli sky.

if i met you, would it hurt?
red diffused in blue, flesh and meat
a slimy treat?
if i met you, would it work?
last common ancestor like,
5 mya
can my voicebox
make your language
can my eyes
meet yours
can my hands
my feet,
can my mouth,
my teeth,
can it match? be friends?
slick black and white,
grey saddle,
big, pectoral fins,
shining pointed teeth,
eyes of the curious,
dorsal fin out of reach,
fluke aflapping,
orcinus orca! hear my call.

catch me, twirl me when i fall!

like ballerinas, caught up in the act,

it's something special--- dont look back!

can you teach me, im open to learn

this language, society, culture, of yours, not mine, may you share, may i know!

slick black and white
dry, dry, dry, matte, brown, and tan

could we get along, your birdsong, my harsh jargon, a mish mash of black and white and blue and brown and red and pink and yellow and orange and fins and fingers

slick black and white.
