ermmmm biiig ol wip its like if double dealing character was freaking evil welcome to the world of the double dealing delusion. thats just what i (moon pokke acht splatoon) call the evil situationship i have manifested between shinmyoumaru, seija, and tenshi. back in the days of the plague, shinmyoumaru was one of our favorite characters. we also really liked tenshi. and seija. so when we revisited touhou 5 years later, i realized those characters are all still peak. and in my usual way i needed to smash them together like barbie dolls. thats how we ended up here. the shinmyoumaru section will be kinda big because he is my ultimate favorite in touhou.

the shinmyoumaru section before we begin you should read my mini essay. okay you read it. good. i freaking love this guy. oh nooo oh noo dont let me talk about him. and im not even in my ultimate state as im writing this. in february 2026 i went into school completely lobotomized cause i could only think about him. please look at these artifacts ive made so far.

i view shinmy as a bit of a haughty guy. i think before he met seija, when he was still an uwu pwincess or whatever, he lacked confidence but felt an internal desire to change his situation. he just didnt really have a means to. but epic evil seija showed up and then he transed his gender and became awesome. i dont believe that seija 'manipulated' him to participate in anarchy, i think if he thought of the idea himself and thought himself capable of it, he would have done it without her. but i do think seija still 'used' him and that he was hurt by that of course. sorry this section wont really make too much sense if you dont know the plot of touhou 14... anyway, basically my reading of shinmy is much more 'willingly rude' than i see people protray him. not to say that people dont protray him like that, there is a good amount of content that does, but i have also seen a lot of "hehe im a good girl now!!!" kind of protrayals of him, (though maybe those were made before the grimoire of usami came out?). i guess what i really like about him is that he isnt afraid to just do things, even if theres a good chance he'll get in trouble, even if he's at a disadvantage, he just does stuff. gets up to no good. a true do no gooder. do. no good doer. he is also cute. that helps. some people view him as being a child, but i am a personal believer in him just being a short and dumb adult, i really dislike when i see people reduce him to 'cute little girl', even if canon somewhat does that sometimes too.

i think after grimoire of usami, he's basically completely independent, and in my gensokyo, not living at the hakurei shrine anymore. i love reimu but the way she treats him sometimes gets on my NERVES!!! oh yeah. people love to torture shinmyoumaru. like i get it can be funny because in his natural height hes very tiny, but i think like 80% of fanworks about him include him getting thrown around for comedy value. sometimes its funny but!!! i dont like people taking his agency away from him. his agency is important to me...so i think for everytime someone draws him getting abused, he should be allowed to poke someone's eyes out with a needle (which he did want to do to kasen so its in character). actually hes kind of a violent person there are a few quotes of him just saying shit like 'i cant let you live. Die'. get their asses bro....get them!!! but yeah i support trans mens wrongs and i love this guy i like him a lot and now you know my thoughts yay
